About Pingsured's monitoring requests
If you found this page in your server logs, the request came from Pingsured, an uptime monitoring service. Every request we send carries this User-Agent:
Pingsured/1.0 (+https://pingsured.eu/bot)
Why we are requesting your server
One of our customers has set up a check for an address on your server, usually because they run or depend on the service behind it. We request that address at regular intervals and tell them whether it answered, how quickly, and with which status. We do not crawl, follow links in your pages or index content.
What to expect
- Requests use GET or HEAD. Other methods and request bodies are only available to customers who have proven they own the domain.
- A check runs at most once every 15 seconds from each location its owner selected. Several customers may monitor the same address independently.
- A check may follow redirects, up to a limit its owner sets.
Where requests come from
Our checks run from these servers:
| Location | Address |
|---|---|
| Germany | 2.28.104.169 |
| Finland | 157.180.91.158 |
| USA (West) | 5.78.239.238 |
| Singapore | 5.223.84.123 |
Where your server has an IPv6 address, requests may also arrive over IPv6 from the same servers. The User-Agent is the reliable signal either way.
Allowing our requests
Match User-Agent strings beginning with "Pingsured/". Our customers cannot change or remove it. If you also allowlist by address, use the list above; it changes when we add or move a location, and this page changes with it.
Asking us to stop
If you do not want your server monitored by us, or a check is causing you problems, write to us with the address being requested and we will stop the checks against it: abuse@pingsured.eu
